International Specialized Exhibition "Mass Media in Belarus"

Since 1997, the Ministry of Information has been organizing the International Specialized Exhibition “Mass Media in Belarus” with the support of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Minsk City Executive Committee, republican unitary enterprise “the National Exhibition Centre “BelExpo”, the Office of the President of the Republic of Belarus, other national administrative bodies, leading mass media and public organizations.
The Exhibition “Mass Media in Belarus” is a clear reflection of the Belarusian information environment. The participants include print and audiovisual media, web resources, news agencies, operators and distributors of cable television, distributors of print products, publishing houses.
The total exposition area is more than a thousand sq.m. Traditionally, the Exhibition brings together more than 100 participants representing about 500 print media, television and radio programmes and channels from Belarus, Russia, China, Bulgaria, Lithuania, Azerbaijan, Ukraine, Latvia, India, Germany, Turkey, Georgia, and other countries.
Visitors of the Exhibition get an opportunity to have a look at presentations by Belarusian national and regional print and digital media, specialized and institutional publications, newspapers of universities and industrial enterprises, as well as scientific organizations.
The Exhibition “Mass Media in Belarus” offers media community and visitors an intense programme of events. It includes presentations of information and Internet projects, book signings, workshops, etc. The business programme of the Exhibition involves discussing major issues facing mass media, as well as the role of media in the development of society and the state with the participation of media directors, journalists and representatives of the expert community.
The Exhibition is also marked with award ceremonies for winners and laureates of the National Contest for Print Media “Zolotaya Litera” (Golden Letter) and of the Republican Competition for Journalists and Mass Media for the best coverage of interethnic and inter-confessional relations, intercultural dialogue in the Republic of Belarus and cooperation with compatriots abroad.
